About Potier Law Group — A Family-Owned Long Beach Law Firm Built on Direct Access

Most law firms grow by adding layers between you and the person actually handling your case. We built ours to avoid that.

Potier Law Group is a family-owned law firm based in Long Beach, California, founded by attorney Amanda Potier. The firm represents individuals, families, property owners, and small businesses throughout Long Beach and the surrounding Los Angeles and Orange County area in real estate litigation, landlord-tenant law, probate and estate planning, business law, personal injury, and bankruptcy matters. Clients work directly with their attorney throughout every matter, calls and emails are returned the same day, and the firm does not outsource work to outside counsel.

You'll hear back from an attorney — not an assistant — the same day.

Amanda Potier — Founder & Senior Partner

Amanda Potier founded Potier Law Group and has practiced real property law since 1996. Before becoming an attorney with deep escrow expertise, and headed the sales department at First American Title Insurance Company — hands-on experience she brings to the firm's real estate litigation practice in particular. She also holds a Board of Directors seat on the Estate Planning Commission of Long Beach. Potier Law Group has grown into a team of attorneys since its founding, but Amanda remains directly involved in the firm and its clients as senior partner.

Our Mission

Our mission is to give every client direct access to the attorney actually handling their matter — someone who explains their options in plain language, responds promptly, and stays involved from the first conversation through resolution. We look for a reasonable, efficient outcome first, while staying fully prepared to take a matter to trial when that's genuinely the better path for the client.

Meet Our Team

Why Potier Law Group Exists

Potier Law Group was built around a simple idea: clients should be able to reach the attorney actually handling their case, not a rotating cast of assistants standing between them and an answer. That idea comes directly from founder Amanda Potier's own path to the law — she spent years on the business side of real estate with deep escrow expertise, and heading sales at First American Title Insurance Company, before ever practicing law. She saw firsthand how frustrating it is to be a client waiting on a callback that never comes.

As a family-owned firm, we've deliberately stayed structured the way we are rather than scaling into the layered-staffing model larger firms use — multiple paralegals and associates drafting and reviewing before an attorney ever looks at your file. That structure keeps costs down for clients and keeps your attorney directly involved in your matter, from the first phone call through resolution.

Welcoming, real people.

A bilingual Spanish/English attorney on staff — a rare asset in this region.

Spanish-speaking clients can work through their plan directly with an attorney, not just a translated page. (Front-desk reception is not currently Spanish-speaking — let us know when you call, and we'll connect you with an attorney who speaks Spanish.)

Settlement-focused, not litigation-first.

How Potier Law Group Works With Clients

Direct attorney access.

You speak with your attorney throughout your matter — not a case manager, not a junior associate you've never met.

One team, from drafting through trial.

If we prepare a document — a lease notice, an estate plan, a business contract — the same attorney who wrote it can litigate it later if a dispute arises.

No outsourcing.

Every matter stays in-house, including bankruptcy, rather than being handed to outside counsel.

Same-day response.

Calls, emails, and contact form submissions are all answered the same day, regardless of practice area.

Settlement-focused, but ready to litigate.

We look for a reasonable resolution first, and take a matter to trial when that's genuinely the better path for the client.
